The pure snow of December had fallen and had covered the town in a duvet of white. Some solitary leaves still strayed from a tree branch and fell to the cold ground. Orange, yellow and red against white. L walked slowly around the park, taking in the surrounding scenery. He had not had a rest for days because of that Kira. The black-haired boy tensed. Someone was behind him. A hand gently touched his shoulders and turned him around.
“Hey, Panda-eyes!” Light laughed. L sighed, it was just his work partner, possible suspect, Light.
“Hello, Light-kun.” he said and smiled a little.
“Put this scarf on, you must be freezing!” the teenager wrapped a blue and black striped scarf around L’s neck.
“Thank-you. Light-kun, do you consider me as a… friend?
“Of course I do, Ryuzaki! Oh, great. It’s raining!” replied Light. Icy cold droplets landed on L’s nose and he looked around. The once perfect snow was turning slushy. Bells rang in the distance.
“It is a shame I have to go. You know Light-kun. Because I really did love you.”
“Huh?” Light blushed guiltily. L knew!
“Good luck ruling the new world.” L stated calmly, waiting for death.
“No! I will not let it happen. Because you see, L, I love you too. I was foolish wrote your name in, I didn’t know you. It isn’t fair!”
“Hyuk, hyuk! Light you cannot stop what is already written in.” reminded Ryuk.
“I knoe, my dearest Light-kun, I know. But I have to go.” with that the dectective fell to the ground. The world was dizzy to L, he was nearly dead.
“NOOOOO!” the boy screamed and caressed L’s body and gave him a farewell kiss.
“Thank you, Lighto.” he whispered, finally able to leave. Light lay in the snow beside the dead body, lay there for hours, covered by a fresh layer of snow.
“You know it’s the end.” Ryuk declared then pulled out the black notebook of death and wrote ‘Light Yagami’.
